the speedrunners are going strong~ a couple of important announcements to make today :)

1. we're on speedrun.com!

that's right ! we made it :D you can find the leaderboard here: https://www.speedrun.com/sunset-shaped/. check out some of their runs, it's truly impressive, and i'm very amazed. the big wow! feel free to make runs or playthroughs or videos of the game.

2. another update for speedrunning

in celebration of getting onto speedrun.com, another game mode has been added - "level". you can now play individual levels to practice or perfect your timing. there's also a leaderboard for each level on speedrun.com, so there's that. timers at the end of a game also has more info to help with speedrunning :)

3. mod support

finally, v1.1.0 brings mod support! i'll be writing up a documentation on modding sunset-shaped soon, but meanwhile there is a sample mod in the github to check out. everything is open-source, so if you're familiar with godot it shouldn't take too long.

4. slowing development

development of sunset-shaped has been a great experience! but i'll be slowing down the development now. i never meant to make this many updates, but i'm glad i did. i'm estimating about 1-2 more bug fix updates, and the rest of the content will be up to y'all :)

5. what next?

but yes! i do have plans to make a full, non-jam game based on this idea. the details are blurry but if you are interested, keep an eye out for my future projects :)
